EU Beam Reports - First Station Online!

Hello, I am in Europe as well, did you order yours and was there any questionable issues?

No. :frowning: see the comment from @syad on22/3 above.
Cheers,
Roger

When are you going to resume the shipping. Because right now there is a sale! I was going to get it.

@Syed, could you provide an update on the SES-4 European North African beam? You mentioned your plan to use a different LNB to operate, and that the beam would be down this past April. I haven’t seen any terminals operating in Europe for some time. Ken

I’m waiting for SES to send me an address on where to send our uplink equipment. I would like to use one of the Astra satellites instead of SES-4. The beam there has able 3dB not power (twice the power!), which will result in a slightly faster service.

I’m literally just waiting to hear from our sales person.

I noticed some of the Astra beams are relatively small geographically. SES-4 has good coverage of the Middle East, Eastern Russia, North Africa, and of course Europe.

How are you planning to accommodate geographic coverage? Ken

there are a lot of ‘astra’ satellites up now… some are 1999 vintage… but interesting

Well that’s the trade; coverage area and EIRP. What we are still looking for is an anchor customer to allow us to start dedicated channels in specific markets. Those anchors would also assist in receiver distribution. Without a local partner we are stuck with the high costs of international shipping and duties.

… candidate "local partner"s ??

EU is not the problem. It’s Africa and Middle East.

Itead ships worldwide. esp. if you use them to manufacture …

the equipment reps in Africa seem to all be in South Africa.
