Will ku band FTA Satellite systems be able to use Outernet?
I have an Ku FTA Satellite system installed and it would be neat to be able to view web pages on the tv through it.
Yes! That is precisely the point. Although we will eventually be selling hardware, that is not our key focus. Instead, we want to allow existing equipment to install our software, which allows the broadcast stream to be converted into files.
The software will initially work on Linux-based FTA receivers. As a matter of fact, Raspberry Pi will be the first receiver, along with a USB DVB-S receiver. We will then move to porting the software to Android-based DVB-S receivers. The software will always be free and we are hoping to create a new open source steam-to-file project.
