Someone in downtown Paris was experiencing very low SNR. By placing the antenna inside of a a metal box with one side open, he was able to increase SNR by 3dB.

Very interesting! I’ll have to find such a box and see if it helps me here. While I’m not in an urban area…maybe it might help?
