First of all, Thanks for your efforts.

Secondly, will Outernet be able to stream internet radio or TV?

Also, will one day Outernet will allow complete internet surfing even in one way manner?

Outernet is currently not a real-time service, so streaming is not possible.

We hope so, but that is not the ultimate goal. Ultimate goal is to ensure complete freedom of information broadcast, which is probably harder to solve (governments, corporate lobbying, international laws and agreements, patents, copyrights, etc) than technical issues of low-latency two-way communication.

ya con el echo de llevar información en una vía es algo extraordinario,yo me forme en muchas cosas con la onda corta desde niño,conocer países,sus formas de vidas,escuchando a diario,hoy las nuevas generaciones que no le es posible tener la nueva tecnología outernet es la nueva onda corta que viene mas con fotografía,vídeo ,texto,y con sencillos equipos pueda ser captado,la meta nuestra como simpatizante de este proyectos es ayudar donde no existe posibilidad enseñar a montar una pequeña estación en los hogares que no tiene la posibilidad de las nuevas tecnologías ,creo que tiene mucho futuro esta tremendo desarrollo,lo que deseamos es poder participar de las pruebas estar informados y así aportar como lo hacemos con las emisores de ondas cortas y la típica qsl que recibíamos ,acá puede ser algo digital ya eso es bastante.

So, if no streaming, how videos, music & games will be played via outrnet?

Also for applications, how can we use it if it is one way communication.

Videos will be fully downloaded as video files. I am considering shipping a flash player along with archive manager so that videos can be played within the browser, but we may start shipping video files without the flash player. Same applies to audio. In fact, we’ve already shipped one mp3 file, but without any player.

As for webapps like Facebook, that won’t be possible at all.

For desktop applications, we will be shipping them as installers, iso files, etc. We’re still in planning stage regarding those.
