I have been following your progress with interest and wanted to ask if the lighthouse 12v power port is protected from reverse polarity? I could easily imagine someone hooking up their 12 v battery and solar array red to black instead of black to red and watching sadly as white smoke puffs out of the lighthouse that had been eagerly awaited for so long…

My question is about electromagnetic radiation. What do the specs say? Within safe limits? According to what country?
Power supply protection and EMC/EMI are two totally different questions. You might have been better starting your own topic.
I imagine lighthouse conforms to US standards for a 12V device, and is similar to a set-top-box or a wifi router.
