It still uses the internet so short answer no.
There is no uplink capability (at least for now), so there is now way you can accidentally or intentionally send any data to Outernet or anyone else. Having said that, it does go over WiFi at some point during transmission, so if someone can snoop on your connection, that’s a different matter.
