Is Outernet reaching out to international library associations? If Outernet could get the backing of organizations like the American Library Association, where there is a movement to lend free internet to patrons, this would be a huge benefit to Outernet’s mission. Some larger public libraries are starting to go to telecomm companies, who are charging exorbitant amounts of money to provide hotspots to public libraries, who are taking the risk of lending out this expensive technology. New York Public Library for instance is the only public library capable of spending $2.5 million for 10,000 hotspot devices from Sprint. Heads up!
