Since the Latern is designed to be portable, it makes sense that it might not be receiving all the time. Therefore, I think it would make sense to schedule some broadcasts, similar to Radiofax weather broadcasts.
Software such as Airtime could be modified to support this functionality. This would also be an additional option for “Sponsored Content.”
Another use case would be a daily commodities report broadcast at fixed times.
