Power: The campaing talked about a low power mode but with the amount of heat emitted from the SDR and amp this sounds like science fiction to me right now. On top of that is the CHIP with a power draw of 250-500 mA - which is a lot.
So it would be nice to know what the plan regarding power is.
We were planning on using another tuner/ADC previously, which would have reduced the processing requirements of the SoC. But since we’re doing all of the demodulation in software now, the receiver will idle at about 2W while it is downloading. That’s not particularly low power, but it’s all we can do right now.
