@Syed what ever happened to this dish? since we are back on the ku band would this idea work again?
That was a very cool concept, but far too expensive to manufacture. It also went very small. The best dish I’ve seen so far is a tiny plastic one that is produced for the domestic Chinese market. Unfortunately, the mold is broken and the manufacturer wanted a minimum order of 20,000 units in order to fix it.
were you working on a new antenna that was more compact anyways?
Yeah, I was to trying to make a flat antenna that could be printed on PCB material. But it has really poor performance.
Wonder what the next good iteration of a small antenna is going to look like that’s going to be more sensitive than a bare lnb with a cone attached to the outside of the lnb
I don’t have anything else in the works.
