New Raspbian images available now with HDStar support

Hi,
I received a message in the mail for the HD STAR USB S2.
Is there new image for HD STAR USB S2 Geniatech ?
Is there a device that is compatible with Raspberry Pi 2 Model B for OUTERNET?

Thanks
Svetozar

@branko This patch for Geniatech HDStar SU3000 v3.0 is for RPi1, right? Do you know what kernel version it is for? Reading other threads made me think 3.18.

Is it still the case that Geniatech HDStar SU3000 v3.0 isn’t support for RPi2?

thanks,
drew

It was written for 3.18, but I’m applying it against 4.1 in ORx and it just works.

EDIT: I should also note that HDStar on 4.x kernels is correctly recognized, but does not work. You do get a frontend device in the dev tree, but it is not able to tune in or anything. Patch applies cleanly and device subsequently works.

Hi,
ORxPi2-latest.img.zip (There are six files)

Who is the img. file?

We have changed the image format a few releases ago. There is no longer an .img file, and you don’t write the card using image writers. Instead, you take a blank card and you copy the files in the zip file to the card.

Next time, you can update just by copying the files from a new release over the old files.

OK.Thanks

I have problem with HD STAR,"BDA no device. Device not started"
I’m with Windows 7.

there is no full suported streamreader.dll for windows(Windows 7) and HD star…, i supose in windows xp should work ???
HD star do not suport blind scan

try a test build of streamreader.dll, CrazyScan / Discussion / General Discussion: Geniatech su3000 driver issue

or try to run skynet on linux (where I am now)

20 posts were split to a new topic: How to access ORxPi

Thank you very much

Hi,
Is it necessary to write whatever on the last line of the second picture?

Not sure what you mean by second picture. Also, feel free to open a new topic for any new questions.

Other than troubleshooting, there isn’t much you can or need to do in the shell.

The way the HD STARr is connected, is it possible to scan and watch programs through HD STAR from that Hotbird satellite ?

Not on the Outernet receiver, no. Also, HDStar is not supported on many Linux distros, so not sure if installing something like OSMC would help.

OK
Thanks

How listening radio

Hi,
how to delete all tv channels from Tvheadend?

You are talking about ancient software. We’ve dropped support for it over a year ago.

OK
Thanks
