The phone or laptop web browser communicates with a server on the hard drive of the rasperry pi which also hosts the wireless access point and downloads data from its dvb antennae. This server allows all the devices connected to the wap to download the information collected from the satelite over time. This is how the demomodel works.
Something which i am curious about is the content delivery system. How much data will the satellite store? Will there be asort of ‘news’ broadcast with all the daily media and weather and so on that broadcasts regularly 3 times a day or so and a ‘library’ broadcast that has a large collection of information that updates over a week or so?
