Uplink proposal ? The 140 mile / 225 km link from L.A. to Las Vegas (data rate of 155 Mbps)

Just read about moderately priced technology for long distant radio lines: http://ir.ubnt.com/releasedetail.cfm?releaseid=917339

These guys have resellers in many countries, incl. Africa and Asia. Cost of equipment is USD 400 (perhaps plus antennas, cables, etc.).

Is there any more cost/effecitve way to provide two way Internet to remote areas?

Ubiquiti has solid products, but deploying infrastructure all over the world is really not what we can do–which is why we are focused on satellite broadcasting.

I have been using Ubiquity Products for years. They are rock solid devices. I use them in long distance P2P links
